Purge Jihad - Online Again!!!!

I am currently hosting Purge Jihad, unfortunately, I have dynamic IP so my IP will change from time to time. This will make you lose your XP unless you change your SAVE file to reflect my IP address. If my IP changes automatically, you won't be able to join until I am notified that it has been changed and you cannot log on.

Hopefully, later I will purchase a static IP broadband that will solve this problem (i.e. Comcast Cable). Unfortunately, in the past when I had Comcast Cable, their upload was slow which affected Purge Jihad in a bad way. Hopefully, I can get an additional broadband static IP line. In any case, for those who missed Purge Jihad, you can join once again.

HERE'S HOW: (If you can't join the first time, try again. Most time you will get into the server the second try. So if you are UNABLE to connect the first time, try again. Usually if it doesn't work three times in a row, then the server is not up.)

1. Install Purge Jihad version 2.5.1
2. Select "PLAY"
3. Select "JOIN INTERNET GAME"
4. Select "JOIN IP" and enter the following information
5. IP Address: Enter this number: 68.183.229.67
6. Port: Enter this number: 27777
7. Password: There is no password so just hit ENTER key

Viola!! You should be able to join my game server.

If my IP changes, the IP address information given above will change slightly. The first three numbers... 66.159.229 will probably stay the same, but the last number will differ.

The game server should be back up. I had to take it down for a bit due to heat problems.

It always works on the 2nd try on my Windows XP machine. If you try to connect and the portal won't spin (game won't load) all you need to do is re-enter the IP and port again and portal will spin and game will start shortly.

I realized I cannot use Kali program because Purge Jihad crashes often, so I need to run ServerDoc instead to reboot after it crashes.

Unfortunately, I cannot run both ServerDoc and Kali program since both of these programs want to launch the game server.

I was thinking maybe ServerDoc can launch Kali program, which in turn launches Purge Jihad, but unfortunately that won't work either since Kali program needs 3 steps in order to launch Purge Jihad game server.

So I ran into a choice....either run ServerDoc to reboot after a crash OR run Kali program to keep track of who is playing and this would also eliminate the need to type in the Internet IP address.

I have to pick ServerDoc since one crash under Kali program would stop the game server entirely.

P.S. My dynamic IP has changed. I have edited the first message on this topic to reflect the current internet IP address.

i tried to join but it doesnt work. i think i know why:
if server has version 2.3.1 people with version 2.5.1 cannot join.

Check out the original post to see the new IP address for my server.

Change your ".sav" files to reflect this new address to retain your XP.

Hi chl007,

am going to try to log in tonight at 7:pm PST.

is the server still running? and all day on weekends?

well i hope so i am missing PURGE.

HellsAxe, the server is still running. If you want to challenge Lola and Sylvestra, they usually come on 6:30AM or 7:00AM PST.

Anyways, tell Talos to play too and convince Hazmat to come back. Smile

Hmm, I can't seem to find the 'join server' button anywhere on the game. Noob question, I know. But I would love to join your server. The all-seeing-eye is dead as a doornail, ideas?

Click "Play" then "Join Internet Game" then "Join IP". From there you type in the IP address then press enter then the port number then press enter again. You might need to write down the IP and port number if you can't memorize it.

It's usually up every day in the morning from about 8-11 A.M. This is the time we usually play.
